Black Dawah Network Welcomes New Prison Outreach Director Ismail Abdul Rahman
Brother Ismail Abdul Rahman formerly known as Jeremy Busby is the prison outreach director of Black Dawah Network. He is currently serving a 75-year sentence for a 1998 homicide in Dallas for which he was wrongly convicted as a result of witness misdentification and ineffective assistance of counsel. He is a staff writer for The Echo, a prison newspaper, before the Texas Department of Criminal Justice shut it down. As head of Black Dawah Network’s prison outreach facility, brother Ismail Abdul Rahman will work to ensure Black Dawah Network’s Islamic educational material reaches Black brothers and sisters behind prison walls.
